The Storyteller Behind Heal with Neal

Neal King didn't begin his career in therapy—he began it on stage.

As a young actor and comedian in New York City, Neal trained at HB Studio, performed improv and sketch comedy, co-founded the comedy troupe Full House and Company, and chased the dream of making people laugh for a living.

Then life took an unexpected turn.

For more than three decades, Neal became a licensed psychotherapist, educator, speaker, author, and Clinical Director, helping thousands of children, adults, couples, and families better understand themselves and each other. Along the way, he taught therapists across the country, spoke at universities, hospitals, conferences, and organizations, authored books, and developed innovative approaches that blended humor with psychology—including the Comedy Improv Therapy model he continues to teach today.

But something quietly remained unfinished.

After more than 30 years of helping people from the therapy chair, Neal returned to his first love: the stage.

Today, Heal with Neal brings together everything he's learned—from comedy and acting to psychology and relationships—to create performances that entertain, inspire, and leave audiences seeing themselves a little differently than when they arrived.

His debut one-man show, Anxiously Ever After, blends vulnerable storytelling, unforgettable characters, audience interaction, and laugh-out-loud comedy to explore the hidden patterns that shape our relationships and the surprising ways humor helps us understand ourselves.

Beyond the theater, Neal presents keynote programs, interactive workshops, relationship intensives, and customized experiences for conferences, corporations, healthcare organizations, schools, theaters, and community groups.
